Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport where two fighters ussualy of similar weight fight against each other with their fists. This sport is supervised by referee and is engaged in rounds which lasts for 1-3 minutes each. Victory is achieved if the opponent is knocked down and unable to stand up and continue fighting before the referee counts to 10 seconds or if the opponent is too injured to continue. If there is no stoppage of the fight before an agreed number of rounds, a winner is determined either by the referee's decision or by the judges' scorecards.

Boxing is very old sport, evidence of first fist-fighting contests appear in ancient Sumerian, Egyptian and Minoan reliefs. So this sport has been upgraded during the centuries. It was researched and improved over the years. Thats why today Boxers has the strongest punch which can deliver over 1000 lbs of force. This kind of punch delivered to the opponents head can take down any human even the  mixed martial art fighters.

That is why i suggest taking boxing lessons. Having the best punch in the mixed martial arts arena will come in handy eventually. And combined with the speed you will get from Kung Fu, it will be one devastating strike for the opponent.

So box will make your fists strong as steel and with box you will surely get accuracy of your punches because it is inevitable with so much training.

Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-Jitsu is a technique which is based on grapling and especially ground fighting, it is similar to judo but here in this technique you use joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent.

It promotes the principal that a smaller and weaker person can triumf against bigger and stronger opponent using proper leverage and technique. It can be trained for self defense, jiu jitsu championships and the best reason of all mixed martial arts competitions.

Jiu-Jitsu has 2 basic strategies, joint locks and chokeholds. Joint locks involve isolating the opponents limb and creating a lever with the body which will force the joint to move past its normal range of motion. Pressure is increased in a controled manner so that you don't break the opponents arm or elbow or knee.

In Jiu-Jitsu competitions some joints are banned for using like the knees, ankles and spine because the angels of manipulation required to cause pain to this joints are nearly the same as those that would cause serious injury. However in Mixed Martial Art combat they are not forbidden and it is up to the good soul of the fighter to decide whether he breaks the joint or not.

Chokes involve constriction of the windpipe causing asphyxia(condition of severely deficient supply of oxygen to the body and arises from not being able to breathe normally) and strangles involve constriction of the carotid artery causing ischemia(restriction in blood supply, generaly due to factors in the blood vessels with resultant damage of dysfunction of tissue). Air chokes are less efficient than strangles and may result in damage to the opponents trachea, sometimes even resulting in death. Blood chokes cut the flow of blood in the opponent's brain causing a rapid loss of consciousness without damaging any internal structures.

In my opinion Jiu-Jitsu is very usefull skill to master for Mixed Martial Arts fight because when the opponent comes close to you, you will know how to defend yourself and how to create a cage of bone and muscle arround the opponent to take him down and make him tap out so you would win the fight. Jiu-Jitsu combined with all other styles I selected in my first post fits great because it is the ultimate style for close combat and comes in handy when you are in trouble in the Mixed Martial Arts arena.

Here is a video that demonstrates the power of Jiu-Jitsu in close combat, chokes and joint locks.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai originally comes from Thailand and it is Thailand's national sport. The Muay Thai practiced today is different from the ancient Muay Thai and uses kicks and punches in a ring with gloves which is similar to the western boxing.

Muay Thai is also know as "The art of the Eight Limbs" because the hands, shins, elbows and knees are all used extensively in this art. Muay Thai master is able to execute strikes using eight points of contact as opposed to the two points(fists) in western boxing or the four points(fists and feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

Muay Thai is very important to be mastered for it is the art where you use your knees and elbows. Of course you use your knees and elbows in kick boxing but here they are used more frequently and the Muay Thai fights consist of striking knees in the ribs of the opponent.

Muay Thai fighters train very hard to master this art because it requires durability and strong will to get your body in shape to take all the stress of the training.

Muay Thai fighters chop down banana trees with their feet to deathen nerves so they dont feel any pain when they strike an opponents bones. Because bone to bone hit always is very painful for both the striker and the taker of the hit.

Scientists that were interested in martial arts wanted to measure the power of a Muay Thai knee strike in the chest and see if it can result in 1 strike knock out. So using very sensitive technology and crash test dummy that is used for crashing cars into walls they were able to calculate how much power the Muay Thai can generate with 1 single knee kick.

The results... Amazing... Not only Muay Thai master can knock out the opponent with 1 knee strike, he can acctually even kill him.

So Muay Thai is deffinitely usable martial art to learn before you go into the ring with some of the top very expirienced MMA fighters. And combined with Kung Fu's speed it could be lethal for your opponent.

Here is a video that might give you a good perspective of Muay-Thai kicking power, knee and elbow strikes.

Kung Fu

Kung fu is chinese martial art invented over 6000 years ago for self defense needs, hunting and military training. Today it is very important for the chinese culture.

The reason i suggest this particular martial art style is because with this style you will get lightning fast punches and stunning accuracy. It is said that the Kung Fu master can strike faster and more accurate than the fastest snake in the world.

Researchers worked hard on testing the speed of a Kung Fu master and the results were astonishing. The Kung Fu master stroke 4 times faster compared to the snakes attack.

In my oppinion this style might be the most important of all 5 i named because speed is one of the most important features that you must have in this sport in order to win.

Another thing for which i chose Kung Fu is the training methods. Old Kung Fu masters knew that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger so they trained by hitting trees and hard objects with their bare fists.

This method hurts at first but when the bones heal, they heal and become stronger than before. They also use this to deathen nerves so they wont feel pain in some parts anymore.

Kung Fu is deffinitely one of the best martial arts and one fighter should consider taking trainings of Kung Fu if he/she wants to be one of the toughest fighters in Mixed Martial Arts community.

Here is a demonstration of Kung Fu's speed and its lightning fast punches.

Mixed Martial Arts

The name speaks for itself. The Mixed Martial Arts are invented by combining some of the deadliest most efficient styles. But also for the ultimate entertainment of the spectators. In MMA fight every possible strike is allowed, you just cant aim for the opponents eyes or the area that is covered with his shorts.
Unlike box or kick box where you cant use elbows and knee strikes it is all regular in MMA fight which makes takes the excitement to a whole new level. MMA rounds lasts for 3 minutes with no pausing or interfereing from the judge which means that MMA fights can be very bloody.

Many fighters participate in this events trying to be the best. And they have all mastered different styles of fighting like Kung Fu, KickBox, Jiu-Jitsu, Box, Wrestling e.t.c. But the secret of becoming successful MMA winner is the mixing of this martial arts.

Some fighters use their own techniques and movement combinations to suprise the opponent because MMA fight is very close to a street fight where people would do anything not to get beaten up.

So to become the ultimate MMA fighter you need to know which martial arts you should combine to achieve a style which exceeds all others in every possible way. I reveal to you the combination which will lead you to total success:
  1. Kung Fu
  2. Muay Thai
  3. Jiu-Jitsu
